Agency Economy just completed its first event🎉

Details

This event was a casual meetup for anyone interested in the personal web, and getting their own website up and running(that they fully own, no subscriptions necessary). We met at Green Street Smoked Meats and answered any questions, and discussed how personal websites can improve community building. Many came in with a website already and either helped others with theirs or worked to fix issues with their own.

Impact

Beyond the people who already had a website going in, three new people started their journey into owning their own little space on the internet. We will make a showcase of all the things people have made soon.

Next Steps

Our next meetup will be about RSS, and how you can use it to replace social media feeds. From what we were able to gather from the last meetup, I think Agency Economy will be using meetup.com and direct outreach for the next one. Of course they will always be posted on our events page first.
